A Queen's Meeting: Remembering and Reclaiming Our Royal Roots" was a powerful and inspiring event that celebrated the resilience, strength, and heritage of Black women. Hosted by our executive director, attendees were welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm. Dr. Danielle Osonduagwuike led a moving prayer and libation ceremony.

Guests indulged in a delightful brunch accompanied by bottomless mimosas, followed by energetic Zumba dances led by Dr. Ballard. A special moment came with the recitation of the "Queen's Mantra," written by Sheba Jennings and delivered by her mother, Dina Walker.

Our keynote address, delivered by our Executive Director, centered on the importance of remembering one's identity and embracing personal power as Black women, honoring the legacy of our ancestors. We also took the opportunity to introduce the mission founders and advisory board of the Inland Empire Black Women's Collective.

The highlight of the event was the honoring of our new Queens of the Community: Dr. Paulette Brown-Hinds, Vicki Davis, and Dr. Torie Weston-Serdan. Their dedication to service and leadership exemplify the essence of royalty within our community.

The event concluded with a beautiful closing prayer from Laquetta Simmons, leaving attendees feeling uplifted, empowered, and connected! "A Queen's Meeting" was not just an event; it was a celebration of sisterhood, resilience, and the enduring legacy of Black women.
